Journaling My Side Hustle Progress Part 2

I’ve been struggling for quite awhile to find solid ways to make money online and offline through various side hustles and business projects, but then I remembered how journaling my progress might be a good tactic to revisit.

I made my first journal entry in 2022, so am going to plan on doing this more often, perhaps once a month.

Since then, to be 100% honest, things have not improved at all.  One of my primary gigs is doing Wal-Mart Spark deliveries which overall is not a good gig.  Unfortunately, Wal-Mart has reduced pay by 50%, coincidentally starting around the beginning of the hyperinflation nightmare and mass immigration problems at the US border.

Still making some money doing Spark deliveries, but to anyone thinking of doing it, hoping it will be an alternative to your regular job, don’t hold your breath.

To get the real truth about Spark delivery or just about any other idea out there, Reddit seems to be the best source of truth.  See r/SparkDriver for the truth.  🤣

Much of your success with Spark will depend on how far you live from a delivery hot spot (aka Wal-Mart store) and how much free time you have.  If you have unlimited free time and don’t have to work around a school schedule for example, you will do better overall.

Right now I’d say I’m making maybe $300-400/month but am mainly restricted to doing deliveries on nights and weekends.

I’ve started a couple gigs on Fiverr, but unfortunately am getting ZERO interest.  No inquiries, very few clicks, but some “impressions” on the Fiverr site.

Fiverr has a lot of problems and there’s no shortage of freelancers complaining about the platform.  Probably why they have a 1 star review by the Better Business Bureau.

I still have one YouTube account that is monetized, but income is pitiful, averaging about 50 cents a day with over 200 videos on the channel.

Decided to get back into eBay recently and it is another nightmare side hustle.  Big problem with eBay now is there are a ton of scam buyers on the platform that can make a return request even if you have returns disabled on your auctions.  There’s nothing you can do about it but take a loss.  I’ll probably make a separate post about this in the future as my experience was the worst in 25 years I’ve been on eBay.

Started a service idea a couple months ago but have had zero customers.  I’ve even offered my service for FREE and only a few people were interested.

So, with all of this frustration I’ve decided the first step I’m going to take is refocus my efforts on Side Hustle Spy.  I’m going to document my own experiences, and start posting on my YouTube channel again.

My primary goal will be to test out the various side hustles out there and report my results.  The twist will be that I’m going to be brutally honest and tell the 100% truth, because as far as I can tell, NOBODY is doing that.

Most of the gurus are flat out lying or sugar coating the truth to get people excited so they’ll buy a course or whatever.  They could care less about how this damages the lives of countless people as well as their wallets.

I’m not sure how I will monetize this yet, but I’ll try to figure that out later.   Gotta go for now, here’s a sample of one of my latest 100% brutally honest reviews: The Truth About Flipping on eBay:
